Headteacher Welcome

'Creating a climate for great learning, success and opportunity'

I am delighted to welcome you to Benton Park School.  We are a happy, thriving and successful school where our young people are at the heart of everything we do.  We pride ourselves on valuing each and every one of our students as an individual and the excellent climate we have created for great learning, success and opportunity, allows all of our students to achieve their full potential.

We have incredibly high standards and expectations for our young people and in return we offer a nurturing, supportive and challenging environment in which they can thrive and develop their learning both within the classroom and beyond.  As well as academic excellence for all, we also value the wider extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities provided by our dedicated staff team.

Our work is underpinned by our five key values: Resilience, Collaboration, Inspiration, Compassion and Endeavour.  Our values are aimed at developing young people to be the very best they can be and to equip them with the skills, knowledge and attributes to be confident, rounded and successful members of society.

We are rightly proud of the strong culture of pastoral support and guidance that we offer to ensure our students feel safe, valued and happy.  This is the key to ensuring they enjoy their time with us, and are able to thrive and succeed in our engaging and purposeful learning environment.

We also recognise that the success of our students very much relies on a strong and cohesive partnership between home and school and we will do everything we can to strengthen this and to work with you to ensure your child achieves the very best they can.

I feel privileged to be leading a school with such articulate, thoughtful and caring young people who are fully supported by a strong and committed staff team.  Please come and visit us to experience this for yourself.
