Teacher Assessed Grades Process 2021

In line with Government guidance,  GCSE and A Level results in 2021 are determined by a Teacher Assessed Grades process.  Please find below details of the following information:

Teacher Assessed Grades Centre Policy - this outlines the approach we will be taking to award our students grades which are fair and robust.  GCSE Assessment Portfolios - this outlines for each subject the assessment portfolios which will be used to arrive at a holistic grade for each student. A Level Assessment Portfolios - this outlines for each subject the assessment portfolios which will be used to arrive at a holistic grade for each student. Examination Results

We are very pleased with our examination results which illustrate the hard work of our students and staff, supported by our parents and carers.  These results outline our on-going commitment to creating a climate for great learning, success and opportunity at Benton Park School.  Below are some of the headline figures from this year’s results:

Student Destinations

Despite a difficult period during 2020/21 we are incredibly proud of our students and their achievements. They displayed remarkable resilience and huge endeavour.

Year 11

234 students transferred from Year 11 at the end of 2020-2021.

  • 62% of students progressed to Sixth Form
  • 31% of students progressed to study at a FE College
  • 4% of students progressed onto apprenticeships, employment or other types of training

Year 13 Student Destinations

  • 85% of leavers opted to take a university place for 2021.
  • 42% of those applying to university, gained admission to a Russell Group University or top tier University.
  • Two students obtained places at Oxford University
