It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Benton Park School. We are a school that will do whatever it takes to ensure that every student achieves their full potential. This is reflected in our clear and strong vision to create a climate for great learning, success and opportunity for our students, which is driven by our very high expectations, standards and aspirations for all within our community.

At Benton Park School, we want all of our students to be happy, successful and supported to achieve their very best. We achieve this through a diverse and rigorous curriculum, delivered by experienced, research led teaching, supported by many opportunities for enrichment experiences. We encourage our students to aim high and we equip them with the knowledge and attributes to support them in achieving their goals. We are very proud of the culture within the school which enables this to happen; it starts with our students feeling happy and safe, which is underpinned by our strong safeguarding support along with the nurturing and caring pastoral help and guidance on offer.

Beyond the classroom we truly value and encourage a wide and varied range of extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities, including clubs, sporting activities, trips, music lessons, charity work, Duke of Edinburgh awards and much more, all aimed at ensuring our young people develop the knowledge, skills and attributes to be confident, rounded and successful members of society.

In order to achieve our vision, our work is underpinned by our five key values: Resilience, Collaboration, Inspiration, Compassion and Endeavour. These run through all aspects of school life and in pursuing these values, our aim is for our students to be the very best version of themselves when they leave us.

A key aspect of your child’s success at Benton Park will be the strong and cohesive partnership between home and school which is something that we will build right from the time you accept your child’s place with us. We are incredibly fortunate to work with such supportive parents and carers and this is something we very much value.

A very warm welcome to our school. The last few years have seen some exciting developments for us as a school and I am very proud of the work we are doing to ensure we continue to go from strength to strength. Our collaborative work with the Red Kite Alliance and the Aireborough Learning Partnership trust means we keep pace with educational changes and benefit from leading developments in teaching and learning, all of which ensure we continue to provide the very best possible education for all of our students.

Our growing reputation for excellent educational provision has seen an increasing number of parents applying for a place at our school and we are pleased to have been able to work with the Local Authority to increase our admission number to meet this increasing demand. To support this growth, we also have an increasing and successful team of staff who place the students at the heart of everything we do.

We celebrate that each child is a unique individual and we are proud of our welcoming and inclusive culture. Our vision ensures that we regularly celebrate and recognise the achievements of everyone in school, in whatever form they may take.

We are proud to be at the heart of our local community and our work is dedicated to ensuring that our young people leave us equipped to take up their place and be successful in the 21st century.
