Student Leadership

Our Head Girl and Head Boy lead the Sixth Form Student Council and provide a point of contact between the student body and the School Leadership Team. They also arrange social events for the wider student population and take a lead on representing the Sixth Form within the school and the local community. This role fosters leadership skills and develops a strong sense of responsibility.

What wider enrichment opportunities are available?

Enrichment is a distinctive part of what we offer at Benton Park Sixth Form. We passionately believe in being able to offer students the experiences they need to develop into successful young adults. Whether it is preparing for higher education at a Russell Group University, being a Reading Mentor, participating in a debating team, supporting younger students in lessons or getting involved in one of our exciting international trips, we are confident that our Sixth Form will provide a fulfilling two years.

Other opportunities include the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, Extended Project Qualification and opportunities to develop Student Leadership through our student led charity events. We have a range of trips and visits designed to enrich students both academically and personally.

All students have an enrichment slot on Wednesdays which allows them to personalise their own timetable and contribute to the development of our students as Benton Park Graduates. Below is an example of the timetable of opportunities we offer to our students for enrichment.
